TESTIMONIALS
"You will be very well looked after staying at this cottage. It has everything you need for a perfect break in this beautiful part of the country. Easy walk to local shops etc but also in a lovely quiet location. Great for the small ones.
The cottage is spacious and fully equipped. Even a wide selection of Dvd's and a few Playstation games if you ever get a moment to use them!"

"Well, what can I say...???!!!
We have just come back from the perfect week's holiday!
10 of us travelled to Akaslompolo and stayed at Ainotar, including 3 children and a toddler. The house was a perfect size and so comfy! The underfloor heating was more than adequate (even when the temperature got down to -35 outside!) and the sauna was easy to use and great for relaxing.
The location of the cabing is great. you can walk to the supermarket in a few minutes, yet you feel like you're away from it all. Views of the slopes from the living room window were lovely, along with watching cross country skiers going right past the window!"

Ainotar at Akasolompolo is one of those places that appears not to have been found! We stayed as a whole family over Christmas following a recommendation by friends. What a recommendation. The house was brilliant and was adapted for us to house 12 persons.
It never did feel cramped. The location is very near to restaurants (We had Christmas lunch at Poro) the local supermarket, and ski and skidoo hire We hired three cars to make travel easier but you could use local buses. We were fortunate to see the Northern lights on 3 consecutive nights at the cabin. The view from the cabin is magic overlooking a ski pathway and in the distance the ski resort.
Some toys, games, skis, and toboggans are all at the house. We lit the fire every day but to be honest the house was always toasty warm. Amply wood supply. Temperatures can vary it was -30 at times but we were not cold. Have the right clothing. The ski slopes were warmer -7. Our age group was 6 to nearly 70 and we all said best holiday and Christmas ever. Could be used by disabled but there are steps up to the house. Otherwise you could use ground floor. 2 bedrooms are on first floor.
